We worked with Michael Smith since day one of the showings of the property. We started to know each other and we started doing the application and everything. And he's been very good to us. He's been extremely helpful and hands-on in everything. The communication was pretty good with the emails and with phone calls and text messages. And then it happened in a very short amount of time, but it was pretty stressful for a few things. Other than that, it was really good. And my parents are very happy that we finally got this. I moved to NYC knowing Michael was around to look after everything regarding the rental. I recently decided to sell my home in El Cerrito and, again, Michael took care of everything from hiring the painters to removing some debris in the yard. The sale process was absolutely smooth - Michael did a great job of outreach prior to the home going on the market and I received an offer within a few days of listing the house. From the time the offer was made to the closing date, Michael was in touch frequently to let me know what was happening. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Where do I begin… Michael and I began working with one another during one of the most unusual times in real estate history - our first meeting was back in April of 2020 during my lunch break over a zoom chat while working from home in my pajamas. I think its safe to say that many of us have been afforded similar luxuries since the pandemic began, with working from home being at the forefront. That being said, such luxuries have allotted to the change in mindsets of many former city-goers, condo-owners, and renters. The demand for home real estate has never been more competitive…trust me. From the moment that Michael first introduced himself to me, I knew that he was going to be the agent that would carry me through this arduous process and past the finish line. He had such a confident and thoughtful demeanor to him, and the manner in which he would patiently listen and then respond always felt genuine and honest. He never once struck me as one of those agents that was looking for a quick buck. In fact, he constantly reiterated that he would never allow me to get into a home that he didn’t feel confident in, and helped me to see things that I may not have caught on my own (I.e. cracks, water damage, neighboring unmanaged properties with respects to rodent activity, sloping/settlement, dry rot, etc.). One of the many redeeming qualities that I have come to admire so much about Michael is his ability to make you feel as though you are his only client - having come from a strong background in customer service, I have the utmost respect and appreciation for this. I know just how needy and demanding I can be, especially as a first-time home buyer, yet Michael never once made me feel like I was asking too much of him or contacting him too frequently. There were times where I was sitting in the back of the fire engine at 2:30AM sending Michael a multitude of listings on Zillow and he would respond to me almost immediately and tell me that he will have information on everything back to me within a few hours. His unwavering service and commitment to the search of my forever home was truly an art of its own. Another thing that Michael did was make sure to walk every property that I was seriously interested in twice - he was a strong believer that you always miss the things that you are not looking for the first time around, especially when you feel a connection with the home. If it weren’t for him, I am almost sure that I would have landed myself in a place with some bad bones. This particular piece to his home-hunting strategy is absolutely pivotal. Michael will ALWAYS go to bat for you. He got me out of a contract that I don’t believe anybody else could have after I expressed to him my overwhelming regret on a decision to go into escrow on a home that wasn’t right for me - I even got EVERY DOLLAR BACK. I can’t say that those situations will always be possible but Michael spent countless hours behind the scenes fighting for me until that battle was won. I will always have a special place in my heart for him for that. We probably walked through what felt like 50 homes on 50 different days, and we had our hearts broken on a couple close bids…like I said before, this market is EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE. One home had over 80 disclosures and 30 offers. Needless to say, we had to get creative. Michael knew what to do. We began posting aggressive offers with short comply-or-deny windows. It wasn’t long after before one of them hit, and it just so happened to be our favorite one! I am proud to say that my lady and I will be moving into our first home together ever at the end of this month, and it is all due to Michael’s even-temperament and strong will. He has been absolutely instrumental in our home buying process, and we wouldn’t use or recommend anybody else. He ALWAYS made time for us, and would shift his schedule on a whim to facilitate any and all of our requests. We love Michael and we hope that you will choose to use him for any and all of your real estate needs both now and in the future.

We are finally home owners...thanks to Michael Smith. As we viewed the ad and his website, we felt that he would be able to assist us with our home purchase. The attraction to make contact with Michael was that his ad referenced his knowledge of foreclosed properties in addition to his broad knowledge of all properties. We found that Michael was patient with answering our questions and showing properties in Diamond Heights, Bayview/Hunters Point and The Haight District in San Francisco. We also looked at properties in Emeryville and Marina Bay in Richmond. Our search has ended at the town homes located at the Richmond Bart Station called: Metro Walk Way. We’re happy with our new home: from a one bedroom apartment to a three bedroom, three bath, three stories and two car garage. We are home!!!
